Victoria, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies fell to the Cowichan Valley Capitals 4-0 on Saturday night from the Cowichan Community Arena.
The Caps open the scoring in the first five minutes on a penalty shot to stake themselves to a 1-0 lead. They would find the back of the net twice more before the period was over to lead 3-0 after 20.
The Grizzlies served 8:00 of penalty time on the second period however escaped unscathed outshooting the Capitals 11-9 in the frame but failed to score.
Cowichan would score the lone goal of the third in a misconduct filled third period with frustration at the scoreline and 9-3 power-play discrepancy for the Capitals seeming to boil over for the Grizzlies.
Victoria was also unhappy after star defensemen was hit from behind in the end wall during the third period resulting in a five minute major.
The Grizzlies will welcome the Capitals into town on the 13th of December in a game that is sure to have some carry over.
